Apple, one of the most notoriously tight-lipped and secretive companies regarding its products, may have sprung a leak.
Since the initial release of the signature iPhone back in 2007, Apple has since launched a new version of their smartphone every consecutive year, culminating with the iPhone 5 back in September of 2012. Well it’s about that time again folks. September is just around the corner and there’s no new phone yet. Well not the one we’re all waiting for at least.
Sonny Dickson, a self proclaimed Apple information leaker posted several photos of the back, top, and sides of the “Budget iPhone.” Expected to be lighter and more compact, the Budget iPhone looks to be more rounded around the edges, with the backside seemingly in favor of plastic over the traditional composite ceramic backing.
Over twenty photos and no money shots, though. Only the back and internal hardware of the phone are showcased, leaving much to be desired.
Rumor has it that Apple will not in fact, be releasing the much-awaited iPhone 6 until 2014. Unfortunately, it’s expected that Apple will continue to follow their previous format by releasing the ‘5s’ later this year, much to the dismay of every Apple fanboy, including myself.
Is it a wise move, though? Apple’s primary competitors at Android and Nokia have both already released a bevy of phones with screens larger than 4.5 inches, dwarfing the 4 inch screen of the iPhone 5.
Apple, I’m not asking for an arm and a leg here, just a little piece of magic that is a noticeable upgrade over my 4S and believe me, a ‘5s’ just isn’t going to cut it.
